eClutch is a company specializing in the distribution of eSports content to pay-TV platforms. We play a pivotal role in delivering premium eSports events to broadcasters worldwide, providing exclusive content to television networks.
As part of our growth and the development of our content offering, we are seeking a Head of eSports Rights Acquisition. This is a newly created role and will be critical in shaping our rights acquisition strategy, working directly with game publishers, tournament organizers, and broadcasters.
Job Overview:
The Head of eSports Rights Acquisition will be responsible for negotiating, acquiring, and managing the rights for eSports content from game publishers, tournament organizers, and other rights holders. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the eSports ecosystem and a solid understanding of traditional sports rights management mechanisms.
You will be responsible for building and developing eClutch’s content portfolio by strategically managing contracts,handling renewals, and optimizing pricing strategies to balance exclusivity with broader distribution opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Rights Acquisition: Identify and negotiate the acquisition of eSports content rights from game publishers, tournament organizers, and rights holders.
· Rights Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for rights management, including offering exclusivity or non-exclusivity to broadcasters and optimizing revenue streams.
· Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts with rights holders, covering are as such as renewal terms, broadcast territories, and payment structures.
· Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the eSports ecosystem, including publishers, tournament organizers, and broadcasters.
· Pricing Strategy: Design pricing models tailored to the exclusivity or non-exclusivity of rights, ensuring competitive and profitable deals.
· Market Monitoring: Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape within the global eSports and sports rights sectors.
· Contract Renewals: Oversee the renewal process, ensuring that eClutch secures ongoing and favorable terms with rights holders.
Requirements:
· Extensive Knowledge of the eSports Ecosystem: Deep understanding of the global eSports landscape, including key players such as game publishers, tournament organizers, and broadcasters.
· Experience in Rights Management: Proven experience in managing media rights in eSports or traditional sports, including the acquisition and renewal processes.
· Contract Negotiation Skills: Strong expertise in negotiating complex contracts with multiple stakeholders, securing favorable terms for both exclusivity and non-exclusivity.
· International Experience: Willingness to travel extensively as required to meet with stakeholders worldwide.
· Language Skills: Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in Spanish& Chinese would be a significant advantage due to the importance of the Latin American & Chinese eSports market too.
· Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to adapt pricing models and contractual terms to evolving market conditions.
· Self-Starter in a New Role: This is a new position, so the ideal candidate must be entrepreneurial, proactive, and able to develop new strategies in a rapidly changing industry.
Desired Qualifications:
· Previous experience working in the international eSports ecosystem is highly desirable.
· Background in sports media rights management or eSports content licensing.
· Multilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Chinese, will have a competitive edge.

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere globally, with frequent international travel.

• Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in media and television marketing. Apply insights to drive innovation and maintain iKOMG’s competitive edge.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, telecommunications, broadcasting, graphic design, journalism or a related field.
• Proven experience in media and television marketing, preferably within a global organization or network.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with mother tongue proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Proficient in using marketing tools and analytics platforms to drive data-driven decisions.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
